The Offshore Drilling Mud Tank System is essential equipment for drilling mud treatment.  Depending on working conditions, different equipment is used to separate impurities of different particle sizes in drilling mud.

Offshore platforms have limited space for equipment, requiring compact mud tank system design with comprehensive mud treatment capabilities.  TR Solids Control's mud tanks adopt self-tilting bottom design, allowing for easier removal of settled solids through the sand discharge gate and improving cleaning efficiency within the tank. The inner and outer walls are coated with an epoxy zinc-rich primer and acrylic polyurethane anti-corrosion coating, resulting in fewer micropores and excellent corrosion resistance.

The function of Mud Tank is to hold the mud from wellhead to mud pump. Mud tanks are used in conjunction with mud treatment equipment and serve as treatment tanks (also known as transition tanks or grit chambers, etc.), mixing tanks, storage tanks and supply tanks in solid control systems.

From structural perspective, the mud tank circulation system can be classified into self-cleaning type and square tank based on shape of the tank bottom. The tank body mostly adopts flat conical structure or corrugated structure, and the structural strength is ensured through the welding process of steel plates and section steel.
