TR Fracturing Flowback Fluid Treatment Systems treat flowback fluid returned from oil and gas wells after fracturing operations. The system removes solids formed during treatment and treats the water to meet specified limits for oil and suspended solids, supporting reinjection, reuse, or discharge.
Based on experience in water treatment for oil and gas field operations, TR has developed treatment technologies for fracturing flowback fluid and other water streams generated during field development.
No Routine Backwashing
No routine backwashing is required, reducing daily maintenance work.
High-Energy Physical Separation
A high-energy physical field captures solids formed during treatment without a long separation stage.
Compact Treatment Process
The process avoids extended settling, flotation, and filtration stages, keeping the treatment system compact.
Simple PLC-Controlled Operation
PLC control manages normal operation, with two operators per shift sufficient for routine operation.
Mobile or Fixed Installation
Skid-mounted, vehicle-mounted, and fixed-station configurations are available. Quick couplings and flexible hoses simplify installation and relocation.
Capacity Expansion
Fixed-station systems can be arranged in multiple units to increase treatment capacity as demand grows.
Flowback fluid enters the treatment unit, where treatment agents react with contaminants and form flocculated solids.
The treated fluid then passes through the high-energy physical field. The field captures the formed solids and separates them from the water before the treated water leaves the unit.
| Model | Capacity | Form | Oil content after treatment | Suspended solids after treatment |

TR systems are used for fracturing flowback fluid treatment at oil and gas wellsites, mobile treatment locations, and centralized treatment facilities.
System configuration is based on the required flow rate, incoming flowback characteristics, treated-water target, and installation method. Mobile units fit field operations where equipment needs to be relocated, while fixed stations suit centralized treatment and capacity expansion.
TR Solids Control manufactures the treatment equipment and can supply individual units or complete treatment systems. Equipment is assembled and tested at the Xi'an facility before shipment.
