The Vacuum Degasser is a type of drilling fluid degasser for removing entrained gas from gas-cut mud. Gas in the mud can affect mud density and fluid properties. Removing the gas restores mud density and stabilizes mud properties.
The TRZCQ series features a vacuum chamber, rotating impeller, and water-ring vacuum pump. Its self-priming design eliminates the need for a separate feed pump. When degassing is not required, the unit can also operate as a high-power mud agitator for mud mixing and circulation systems.
TR supplies four models: TRZCQ240, TRZCQ270, TRZCQ300, and TRZCQ360, with processing capacities from 240 to 360 m³/h.

The water-ring vacuum pump creates a negative-pressure environment inside the degasser chamber. The pressure difference between the chamber and the atmosphere draws gas-cut drilling fluid into the chamber.
Inside the chamber, the rotating impeller throws the incoming mud outward against the chamber walls, spreading the fluid over the walls. Under the vacuum, entrained gas is released from the mud and drawn out through the vacuum system. The degassed drilling fluid is then discharged back into the mud circulation system.

The Vacuum Degasser is used to treat gas-cut mud in oil & gas drilling and drilling fluid circulation systems.

The Vacuum Degasser is typically installed downstream of the shale shaker and upstream of the mud cleaner, centrifuge, or other downstream solids control equipment.

Select the model primarily according to the required drilling fluid flow rate. The TRZCQ series covers processing capacities from 240 to 360 m³/h. Installation space, electrical supply, maintenance access, and any additional agitation duty should also be considered before ordering. An infrared liquid-level monitoring system can be specified when automatic control is required.
