Nested Water Tank

TRSG Nested Water Tank is a two-tank water storage and supply unit for oilfield drilling sites. A smaller upper tank is mounted on a larger lower tank during operation. For transport, the upper tank is nested inside the lower tank to reduce transport volume.

The tank can be supplied with an explosion-proof water pump, electrical control cabinet, switches, lighting, insulation, or heating equipment for wellsite use.

Working Principle

During operation, the smaller upper tank is mounted on the larger lower tank through a hinged bracket assembly. The lower tank stores reserve water, while its water pump transfers water to the upper tank. From its elevated position, the upper tank supplies water to the downstream piping.

For transport, the tanks are drained and the hinged bracket assembly is folded down. The upper tank is then placed inside the lower tank.
