TR Linear Motion Shale Shaker is drilling mud solids control equipment designed for primary separation of drilled cuttings from returned drilling fluids in oilfield drilling operations.
As primary solids control equipment, the shaker removes drilled cuttings and larger solid particles from drilling fluids while recovering reusable mud for the circulation system.
The shaker uses dual vibration motors to generate linear movement of the screen basket. Drilled cuttings move toward the discharge end, while drilling fluid passes through the screen and returns to the mud system.
With adjustable vibration force and flexible screen configurations, TR linear motion shale shaker is suitable for water-based mud (WBM), oil-based mud (OBM), and synthetic-based mud (SBM) applications in various drilling fluid processing systems.

Up to 7.5G linear vibration force separates solids from high-viscosity and high-density drilling fluids.
Heat-treated manganese steel screen basket withstands continuous vibration during drilling operations.
Large screening area handles high drilling fluid flow rates.
Adjustable vibration settings and deck angle meet different drilling conditions.
Nylon wedge blocks secure the shaker screen and allow quick replacement.
Mechanical ratchet tightening system enables fast shaker screen installation and removal.
Stainless steel support strips improve screen frame durability and corrosion resistance.
Martin or OLI vibration motors are available.
Schneider or Siemens electrical components are available.
Buffered feed hopper provides even drilling fluid distribution across the screen surface.

The linear motion shale shaker separates drilled cuttings and solid particles from drilling fluid by using linear vibration and screen filtration. Dual synchronized vibration motors generate straight-line motion of the screen basket, moving drilled cuttings toward the discharge end while allowing drilling fluid to pass through the shaker screen.
The drilling fluid containing cuttings enters the feed inlet and is evenly distributed across the screen deck. As the screen basket vibrates, larger solid particles move forward and are discharged, while liquid-phase drilling fluid passes through the screen mesh and flows back to the mud tank for reuse.
The linear vibration pattern provides continuous cuttings conveyance and stable solids separation throughout the drilling process.
Oil and Gas Drilling
TR Linear Motion Shale Shaker is used as primary solids control equipment for removing drilled cuttings from returned drilling fluids in land drilling, offshore drilling, exploration wells, and workover operations.
HDD Mud Recycling System
The shaker is integrated into HDD mud recycling systems to separate drilled solids and recover drilling fluid during trenchless construction, pipeline installation, and underground utility projects.
Geothermal and Industrial Drilling
TR shale shaker supports geothermal and industrial drilling operations by providing continuous drilling fluid processing and solids separation.
Selecting the right linear shale shaker depends on drilling conditions, drilling fluid properties, and required solids control performance.
Processing Capacity
The shaker model should match drilling fluid flow rate, solids loading, and mud processing requirements.
Mud Properties
Drilling fluid viscosity, mud weight, solids concentration, particle size, and mud type should be considered when selecting the suitable configuration.
Screen Selection
Screen mesh selection should balance separation requirements and processing capacity according to formation conditions and drilling stages.
Installation Requirements
Available space, power supply, inlet and discharge connections, and rig layout should be confirmed before installation.
Maintenance Considerations
Screen replacement methods, spare parts availability, vibration motor inspection, and operating conditions should be considered for continuous drilling operations.
What is the difference between linear motion and balanced elliptical motion shale shaker?
Linear motion shakers provide stronger solids conveyance and are commonly used for high-capacity cuttings removal. Balanced elliptical motion shakers combine different vibration patterns for specific drilling conditions.
How do I select the right shaker screen mesh size?
Select the screen mesh based on drilling fluid type, cuttings size, and required separation efficiency.
How often should shaker screens be replaced?
Replace shaker screens according to operating conditions, screen wear, and drilling performance requirements.
Can this shale shaker handle oil-based mud?
Yes. TR Linear Motion Shale Shaker supports water-based mud (WBM), oil-based mud (OBM), and synthetic-based mud (SBM).
