Drilling mud without spilling is environmentally friendly trend. Water-based mud-free system is composed of mud drying shakers, flocculation tanks, and filter presses, among other mud-free equipment.
Traditional oil and gas drilling sites typically have simple pit of about 1,000 cubic meters, covering area of 1.2 to 1.5 acres, used to hold drilling cuttings and waste mud. After well completion, the mud pit is usually filled in on-site, causing serious pollution. Drying and sieving unit:
The main process involves using screw conveyor to transport the waste residue from the solids control equipment to high-frequency drying screen. Through the high-frequency drying screen and automatic constant pressure jet flushing, large drill cuttings in the solids control equipment are sorted and stripped off. Drilling waste is collected during drilling and transported to mixing tank for buffering and pretreatment.
Flocculation Unit:
The main step is to add an appropriate amount of flocculant to the muddy water in the mixing tank and stir it evenly.
Filter press unit:
The slurry in the flocculation tank is mainly injected into the filter press by plunger pump for filtration. The solid phase is deposited and transported away, while the liquid phase is collected.
Mud pits have disappeared. With mud-free system, the filtered mud has very low water content and can be directly transported away by truck, eliminating the need for mud pits and significantly reducing the land area required. This preserves the soil's ecology and ensures the environmental benefits of land resources.
Reduce environmental risks. Drilling waste is treated during the drilling process, achieving "no mud spillage" and completely eliminating the potential pollution risks of on-site solidification of waste mud. This not only keeps the well site clean but also achieves the environmental goal of "zero emissions" during drilling.
Waste resource utilization. The sludge cake produced by solid-liquid separation can have moisture content controlled below 20% and is dry and hard. It can provide inexpensive raw materials for brick factories and ceramsite plants, and can also be used by microorganisms to regenerate soil, realizing the resource reuse of solid waste and turning waste into treasure.
The equipment is standardized and modular. The entire set of drilling processing equipment adopts a skid-mounted design, which facilitates relocation during drilling and adapts to the highly mobile nature of the oilfield exploration and development industry.
