The Drying Shaker removes free drilling fluid from drilled cuttings discharged from upstream solids control equipment. High-G linear motion helps drain liquid from the cuttings before they are collected or sent for further treatment.
TR Drying Shakers are designed for drilling waste management systems that require an additional dewatering stage for drilled cuttings. Different feed arrangements are available for integration with existing solids control equipment.
G-force: Up to 8.5 G for high-intensity cuttings dewatering.
VFD control: Vibration intensity can be adjusted during operation to match changing cuttings loading.
Deck angle: Mechanical adjustment from -3° to +3° for controlling cuttings conveyance across the deck.
Wedge-wire screens: Open drainage paths allow separated liquid to pass through while retaining drilled cuttings; screens can be replaced quickly.
Heat-treated shaker deck: Improved structural durability for continuous high-G vibration and wet operating conditions.
Stainless steel bottom plate: Corrosion-resistant surface for contact with drilling fluid.
Sealed shaker deck: Helps contain drilling fluid and simplifies seal replacement during maintenance.
Feed arrangements: Rear feed, overhead feed tank, and hopper feed box configurations are available.
Drive and electrical components: Martin vibration motors with Siemens or Schneider electrical components.

Drilled cuttings enter the shaker through the selected feed arrangement and travel across the wedge-wire screens under high-G linear motion. Free drilling fluid drains through the screen openings as the cuttings move along the deck.
The separated liquid collects beneath the shaker, while the drier cuttings move toward the discharge end for collection or further treatment.
The Drying Shaker can receive cuttings from shale shakers, desanders, and desilters through a screw conveyor. Separated fluid collected beneath the shaker can be transferred by pump to a high-speed decanter centrifuge for further treatment and, where required, returned to the active mud system.
Its low-profile configuration supports installation beneath or alongside solids control tanks. Feed and discharge layouts can be arranged according to the available space and downstream equipment.
Typical applications include land-based and offshore drilling, closed-loop solids control systems, and drilling waste management where additional dewatering is required before cuttings handling or treatment.
The Drying Shaker is primarily used for WBM cuttings dewatering. Selected OBM applications can also be considered depending on the required residual liquid content and downstream treatment process.

How do I choose between the TRZS703G and TRZS584G?
The TRZS584G has a higher nominal capacity, while the TRZS703G uses larger individual screens. Selection depends on required throughput, cuttings loading, available installation space, and screen configuration.
TR manufactures Drying Shakers and related solids control equipment at its facility in Xi'an, China, with configurations available for integrated drilling waste management systems.
