Cuttings Box

The Cuttings Box is a heavy-duty steel container used to collect, store, and transport drilling cuttings during oil and gas drilling. It keeps drilling waste contained and makes transfer between the rig and the disposal site safer and more organized.

The drilling cuttings box is normally placed beside the solids control system. Drill cuttings discharged from the equipment such as shale shakers and vertical cuttings dryers are loaded directly into the container. Once the box is full, it is lifted away by crane and replaced with an empty one, allowing drilling to continue without interruption.
