Side Support/Cross Support

The Derrick 6417-01 Side Support and 6417-06 Cross Support are structural components for Derrick FLC2000 shale shakers, providing lateral stability and cushioning to screen panels during high-vibration drilling operations. Both parts are made from fiberglass — light, corrosion-resistant, and built to hold up under continuous vibration.

Design & Function

• Side Support (6417-01): Runs along the lateral edges of the screen frame, fitted in left/right pairs per panel. Stops side-to-side movement and buffers contact between the screen panel and shaker frame, cutting wear and noise at the interface. At 708mm, it fits FLC2000 screen frames directly with no modification.

• Cross Support (6417-06): Spans the screen frame at set positions, bolted to mounting holes or dedicated brackets. Spreads load evenly across the frame and stops the screen from flexing under vibration, reducing the risk of premature failure.

Installation

Side Support (6417-01)

• Wipe down the mounting surface on the shaker frame
  

• Line up the support with the pre-drilled holes on the screen frame edge

• Bolt down and check that the support sits flush against the frame

Cross Support (6417-06)

• Set the cross support across the screen frame at the marked position
  

• Line up with the mounting holes or brackets

• Tighten down and check tension before running the shaker
