Diesel Purifier

The THY-310B Diesel Purifier is a pre-filtration unit for diesel fuel used by internal combustion engines. It removes more than 90% of mechanical impurities, gums, asphaltenes, and other contaminants before the fuel reaches the engine.

The unit has a compact, all-steel housing with two parallel filter chambers, forming a duplex filter arrangement. The piping, valves, and fittings are made of stainless steel. Rc2 stainless steel T-port three-way ball valves at the inlet and outlet switch fuel flow between the two chambers.

The chambers can operate individually or together. Standard Rc2 connections simplify connection to the diesel fuel tank and engine fuel system. The THY-310B is suitable for diesel engine packages below 4,000 HP.

Removing contaminants from the diesel helps protect the fuel injection system and engine cylinders.

Working Principle

Diesel fuel enters the selected filter chamber through the inlet valve and passes through two stages of filtration. The filter cartridges retain unwanted solids and other contaminants in the diesel.

The filtered diesel flows through the outlet and into the engine fuel line. When the cartridges in one chamber require replacement, the three-way valves switch the fuel flow to the other chamber.

The isolated chamber can then be serviced without interrupting the diesel supply.

A pressure gauge or differential pressure alarm monitors system pressure during operation.
