Mud Tank

The mud tank is an indispensable part of the mud circulation system. Its function is to carry the mud from the wellhead to the mud pump. Its main function is to store drilling mud and supply processed drilling mud. It mainly cooperates with the mud agitator, mud and sand pump to process the mud produced by drilling and store it in the mud tank. It is then supplied to the drilling rig for use, used to cool the drill bit and accelerate the working efficiency of the drilling rig.

Mud tanks are categorized as square or conical depending on the shape of their bottoms. The tank bodies utilize flat-conical or corrugated structures, welded together with steel plates and sections. The tank deck and corridors utilize anti-slip strips and anti-skid steel plates. The tank railings are constructed of square steel pipes, creating a barrier-free, foldable structure with secure connections. The mud tank circulation system is equipped with a fresh water line for cleaning the tank deck and equipment. The tank deck mesh is galvanized, and the access ladder is constructed primarily of channel steel. The steps utilize anti-slip strip mesh, and hooks are installed on both side rails.
