Mud Tank

Mud tanks are indispensable component of the mud circulation system, designed to hold mud from the wellhead to the mud pumps. Its main function is to store drilling fluid and supply treated drilling fluid. It mainly works in conjunction with mud agitators, mud pumps and sand pumps. The mud produced during drilling is processed and stored in the mud tank, and then supplied to the drilling rig for use, to cool the drill bit and accelerate the working efficiency of the drilling rig.

Classified by bottom shape, mud tanks are available as square or conical types. The tank body adopts flat-plate conical or corrugated structure, fabricated by welding steel plates and section steel. The tank surface and corridor are made of anti-slip strip steel plates and anti-slip steel plates. The tank surface railings are made of square steel pipes, which are barrier-free and foldable structures with firm interconnections. The tank surface of the mud tank circulation system is equipped with clear water pipelines Its function is to clean the surface of the mud tank and the equipment. The tank surface mesh plate is treated with zinc immersion. The ladder for going up to the tank is made of channel steel as the main body, and the treads are made of anti-slip strip mesh plates. Hooks are set on both sides of the guardrails.

Widely applied in oil drilling, horizontal directional drilling (HDD), coalbed methane exploration, sewage treatment, and other industries, mud tanks offer high corrosion resistance, rust prevention, and long service life.
