This 4‑inch twin‑cone hydrocyclone is designed as a direct replacement for the desilter cyclones used on Swaco Mongoose cleaner assemblies. It operates on centrifugal force to separate solids in the 15‑ to 25‑micron range from drilling fluid, protecting downstream pumps and equipment from erosive wear.

The cone is cast from high‑grade polyurethane with excellent resistance to heat, abrasion, corrosion, oil and water. Its dual‑cone profile and optimised feed inlet geometry generate higher centrifugal forces for efficient removal of cuttings, sand and silt. A ceramic lining is available as an option. This construction ensures long service life and stable separation performance even in demanding drilling environments.

When installed in drilling desilter, the 4‑in cone provides high throughput. The polyurethane material offers excellent resistance to heat, abrasion, corrosion, oil and water. The feed inlet angle is carefully designed to generate higher centrifugal forces, which effectively remove drilled cuttings, sand and silt from the mud stream.
