Vertical Flare Ignition Device

The Vertical Flare Ignition Device ignites combustible gas separated from drilling fluid by a mud gas separator and burns it at the flare.

The unit consists of a vertical flare torch, fixed control cabinet, and portable ignition control box. A 50 m five-core armored cable connects the two control units. The fixed control cabinet is installed at the rig site, while the portable control box enables operators to initiate ignition from a safe distance.

Flare Ignition Parameters

Working Principle

Combustible gas from the mud gas separator enters the flare through the gas discharge line.

When the ignition system is activated, the ignition unit generates a high-voltage spark at the flare torch.

The spark ignites the gas at the flare tip, starting combustion.
