Shale Shaker Manufacturing and Product Range

TR manufactures more than 10 shale shaker models, including linear motion and balanced elliptical motion (BEM) designs. Double-deck and triple-deck configurations are available, with screen openings from 2 mm to 10 mm and deck lengths from 600 mm to 3100 mm.

Different models and configurations allow the equipment to be selected according to the required processing capacity and drilling application. Screen specifications can also be changed to suit different solids loading and operating conditions.

In a CNPC Xinjiang Oilfield project, a single TR shaker handled more than 500 m³ of mud per day with a reported failure rate below 0.5%.

Shale Shaker Design and Manufacturing

Two synchronized vibration motors drive the shaker, with adjustable vibration intensity for different operating conditions. The vibration system moves the screen deck while drilling fluid passes through the openings and larger solids move toward the discharge end.

Polyurethane screens provide wear resistance and consistent openings. Quick-change screen panels simplify routine replacement, while different mesh sizes can be selected for different drilling stages.

The screen box uses a welded integral structure with high stiffness for stable movement under continuous vibration. Key structural and drive components are selected for durability and ease of maintenance.

Shale Shaker Integration in Solids Control Systems

The shale shaker is normally the first solids separation stage in a drilling fluid processing system. It removes larger drill cuttings and other solids before the fluid moves to downstream equipment.

TR can supply the shaker as a standalone unit or integrate it into a complete solids control package. For system projects, the shaker is matched with the required flow rate, process layout and downstream equipment.
