I. Working Principle of Drilling Fluid Vacuum Degasser

Vacuum degasser is a device that uses a vacuum pump to create a vacuum inside a tank, resulting in negative pressure. The slurry is then drawn into the tank and further separated from the gas in the slurry.

The vacuum degasser utilizes the suction effect of a vacuum pump to create a negative pressure zone inside the vacuum tank. Under atmospheric pressure, the drilling mud enters the hollow shaft of the rotor through the suction pipe, and is then ejected towards the tank wall through windows around the hollow shaft. Due to the collision and the action of the separator wheel, the drilling mud is separated into thin layers, air bubbles embedded in the mud break up, and gas escapes. Through the suction of the vacuum pump and the separation by the gas-water separator, the gas is discharged to a safe area through the separator's exhaust, while the mud is discharged outside the tank by the impeller. Because the main motor starts first, the impeller connected to the motor rotates at high speed, so the mud can only enter the tank through the suction pipe and will not be sucked in through the discharge pipe.
