The TR Vertical Cuttings Dryer uses high-speed centrifugal separation to recover drilling fluid from wet cuttings. It is mainly used for oil-based mud (OBM) and synthetic-based mud (SBM) cuttings and can be integrated into drilling waste treatment systems.
Wet cuttings are typically delivered by a screw conveyor to the rotating screen basket.
As the basket rotates at high speed, centrifugal force drives the drilling fluid through the wedge-wire screen, while the solid cuttings are retained on the inner surface of the screen. The internal flights rotate in the same direction but at a lower speed than the basket. This speed differential keeps the cuttings from rotating with the basket and moves them along the screen toward the solids discharge.
The recovered fluid may still contain fine solids. In a complete mud treatment system, it can pass through a decanter centrifuge for further fine-solids removal before returning to the active mud system.

Q: What OOC level can the dryer achieve?

Q: Is a VFD model necessary?
A: Not for every application. Fixed-speed models suit stable feed conditions; VFD models are useful when basket speed needs to change.
