TRLCQ300 centrifugal degasser is a new type of degassing equipment, specifically designed for treating gas-invaded drilling fluids. It accelerates the fluid through the impeller of a submersible centrifugal pump, thereby removing gas from gas-invaded mud. Degassers are typically installed after vibrating screens and are widely used in various solids control systems. They are crucial for restoring mud weight, stabilizing mud viscosity, and reducing drilling costs.

The degasser is mainly composed of transmission, impeller, rack, airflow manifold, pressurizing unit, separation unit, woven hose, vacuum pressure gauge and fastener. When the main motor is driving the gear box rotating, the driving wheel drives the impeller rotating thru the axis of the gear box. The gas cut drilling fluid (mud) is first pulled up by the impeller from the bottom to the top of the degasser and will stay at the higher level than the gas cut drilling liquid. And formed cylinder shaped liquid shape with the reversed cone cavity in the middle. (Like using chopstick stirring water in the Porcelain Jar, when water upwelling along the wall, there will be a reversed air swirl in the middle)Thus, the liquid layer between the up moving liquid column and wall will be thinner, when the mud reached the top, due to the centrifugal force, it will be discharged in the direction of tangent line of the discharge port. Also the gas cut in the slurry will go up the surface and break thru the surface tension of the liquid and burst in the form of bubble, the air will be excavated. Pressurizing unit (similar to exhaust fan) will suck the air thru the narrow channel between the air distribution disk and air separation ring into the air discharge chamber, then thru air manifold and woven hoses, and goes into the pressurizing unit from the suction port of the pressurizing device. Last the air will be pressurized by the pressurizing unit and then discharged. This is the full working process of the centrifugal degasser.
