Oilfield vacuum degassers are key equipment used in the oil drilling field to treat gas-leaked drilling fluids. I. Technical Principle: Negative pressure gas-liquid separation, efficient foam breaking and degassing.


The TRZCQ series vacuum degasser creates a negative pressure environment of -0.04 to -0.08 MPa inside the tank using a vacuum pump. The mud is drawn into the tank under atmospheric pressure. A high-speed rotating rotor throws the mud against the tank wall, forming a thin layer that causes air bubbles embedded in the mud to burst. The escaped gas is then drawn by the vacuum pump to a gas-liquid separator and finally discharged through the exhaust pipe. The treated mud is discharged from the tank by the impeller. This process achieves highly efficient gas-liquid separation, restores the mud's specific gravity and viscosity, and stabilizes wellbore pressure.

  1. High-efficiency degassing capability

    With a degassing efficiency of over 95%, it can remove more than 95% of free gas and some dissolved gas from the mud, including harmful gases such as methane and CO₂, preventing well kicks or blowouts.

    With a processing capacity ranging from 240 to 360 m³/h, it can meet the needs of drilling projects of different scales.

    Reduce waste disposal costs: By efficiently recycling sludge, waste disposal costs can be reduced by 55%-90%.

    Extend equipment life: Remove gas and solid particles from the mud, reduce wear on drill bits, drill strings and pump bodies, and lower maintenance costs.

  1. Oil and gas drilling

    During drilling, drilling mud is susceptible to the intrusion of gases such as methane and CO₂, leading to a decrease in density and changes in viscosity, which affects wellbore stability. The TRZCQ series vacuum degasser can quickly restore the properties of drilling mud and prevent the risk of blowout.

    In natural gas exploration, the separated methane can be recycled and reused, improving energy efficiency.

  2. Trenchless Engineering and Geotechnical Engineering

    In scenarios such as horizontal directional drilling and tunnel boring machine (TBM) construction, the mud circulation system needs to be efficiently purified to maintain construction efficiency.
